About Kit
As a certified executive coach, I’ve always enjoyed helping people understand how they see the world and the options they have. As a project manager and a people manager, I understood the best way to have a successful project was to have everyone aligned on its success. While many people say this, it’s difficult in practice. What I found was that many of the challenges technical people face are not technical challenges. Conditioned behavior, stress-induced reactions, and a lack of awareness in options were frequently the issues I’ve seen. I’ve intuitively navigated these issues, and have learned how to help others do so as well.
A large part of how I was able to navigate these issues is due to years of martial arts training. Aikido, also known as “The Art of Peace” is a martial art that was created with the purpose of reconciliation, not to simply fight or defeat the enemy. The idea of winning without the other person losing was an eye-opening perspective for me, and I’ve used that approach in many conflicts I’ve faced in the workplace. The outcome was more predictable project execution with an aligned team genuinely interested in the overall success of each project.
What I offer is a way for you to see more options than you believe exist, to leverage conflicts into successes, and to increase alignment across your teams. I do this with a combination of project management best practices, transformational energy leadership techniques, and modern martial art philosophies. Using this unique combination of skills and foundations, I’ve been successful in my career and would like the opportunity to share the keys to that success with you.
